Pakenham and its surrounding areas have grown and changed over the years, but it still maintains a good mix of some older style houses as well as many newer housing estates.
There are homes and living options for all generations and needs. Large family homes on traditional blocks, low care high impact family homes on 400-500sqm blocks of land, townhouses, cottage homes, waterfront townhouses and luxury custom-built homes are all available options to suit any budget

Pakenham’s size means you are rarely more than 5 minutes away from shopping, dining, coffee with friends, a workout at the gym or a stroll along the lake.
And for those itching for more, the large shopping centres of Chadstone and Westfield Fountain Gate are just a drive away!
You are also spoilt for choice when it comes to schools and further education in the local area. There are several public primary schools, an older state high school in Pakenham and a newer one in Officer.
For private secondary schools, you have Beaconhills College, Cario College, St Francis College, Lakeside College, Heritage College and Marinartha College – lots of options ensuring you’ll find the perfect one for your children.
For travel to Melbourne’s CBD, some 50km away, you have the option of limited express trains, or a short drive and quick access to the M1 Freeway and Princes Highway. A car journey into the CBD takes roughly 50-60 minutes.
It is also an easy, 15 minutes drive into the Dandenongs, or a day trip to either the Latrobe Valley, Phillip Island or the picturesque Mornington Peninsula – all adding more reasons to live in Pakenham!
